Geometric design within a circle; in the margin, ‘bism Allāh ḍuriba hādhā al-fals bi Farghāna sana khams wa thamānīn wa thalātha miʾa’ (‘In the name of Allah. This fals was struck in Ferghana in the year 385’ in Arabic). Rev. Citing his title Tungha-Tegin Abuʾl-Hasan, ‘li-llāh / Muḥammad / rasūl Allāh / Tikīn / …’ (‘To Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Tegin …’ in Arabic); in the margin, ‘mimmā amara bihī al-amīr Tunghā-Tikīn Abuʾl-Ḥasan mawlā amīr al-muʾminīn’ (‘From that ordered by Amir Tungha-Tegin Abuʾl-Hasan, vassal of the Commander of the Believers’ in Arabic).
